This privacy policy (the “Policy”) is intended to inform you about how your personal information may be collected and processed by MR AND MRS MEDIA, publisher of the MURMEE digital Magazine.
MR AND MRS MEDIA publishes a digital magazine dedicated to the best addresses according to the theme and geographical area of the relevant Club, distributed to its subscribers via WhatsApp. In this context, MR AND MRS MEDIA may collect and process some of your Personal Data.
Respect for privacy and personal data is a priority for MURMEE, which is why we undertake to process such data in strict compliance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 (the “LIL”), as amended, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”).
In all cases, we undertake to comply with the following two essential principles:
- You remain in control of your personal data;
- The data is processed transparently and securely.
- Your data is collected only for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes;
- Your data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
The terms mentioned below have the following meaning in this Policy:
“Channel”: means the digital medium through which MR AND MRS MEDIA distributes the Magazine to Users, namely WhatsApp.
“Club”: means the WhatsApp community managed by MR AND MRS MEDIA, within which Users receive the Magazine and other thematic content.
“Personal Data”: means any Data that directly or indirectly identifies a natural person, including by reference to an identifier such as a name, telephone number, email address or online identifier.
“Magazine”: means the digital publication edited by MR AND MRS MEDIA and distributed to Users via the Channel, whose content is dedicated to the theme and geographical area of the relevant Club.
“Data Subjects” or “You”: means the persons concerned by Processing operations carried out by MR AND MRS MEDIA. For the purposes of this Policy, the Data Subjects are Users.
“Controller”: means the person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of Processing.
“Processor”: means the person processing Personal Data on behalf of the Controller; the Processor acts under the authority of the Controller and on the Controller’s instructions.
“Processing”: means any operation performed on Personal Data, such as collection, recording, storage, use, disclosure or deletion.
“Users”: means any natural person receiving the Magazine via the Channel.
Your Personal Data is collected and processed by MR AND MRS MEDIA, a limited liability company with share capital of 1,500 euros, whose registered office is located at 17 RUE DU COLISEE – 75008 PARIS, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 509 361 465 (hereinafter “MR AND MRS MEDIA”), in its capacity as data controller.

In the course of its activity as publisher of the MURMEE digital Magazine, MR AND MRS MEDIA collects and processes Personal Data concerning you.
In all cases, you are informed of the purposes for which your data is collected through the messages sent to you on WhatsApp.
Your Personal Data may in particular be collected and processed by MR AND MRS MEDIA on different occasions:
- When you join the Club, by scanning a QR code or clicking a link that redirects you to a WhatsApp conversation through which you express your wish to join the Club and receive the Magazine;
- When the Magazine is distributed and when you interact with it (opens, clicks on links and buttons);
- When you contact MR AND MRS MEDIA, in particular to exercise your rights.
Your various Data is collected by MR AND MRS MEDIA in order to ensure:

MR AND MRS MEDIA is also authorized to use Your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation incumbent upon it.
Where the legal basis used is MR AND MRS MEDIA’s legitimate interest, you may, upon simple request, obtain information concerning the balancing of interests carried out by MR AND MRS MEDIA at the address indicated in ARTICLE 2.
You may consult below the details of the personal data that we may hold about You.
For managing your request to join the Club:
- Your WhatsApp telephone number;
- The date and time of your request to join;
- Your approximate location derived from your IP address, where applicable.
For tracking your interactions with the Magazine and Club content:
- Reading and interaction data (opens, clicks on links and CTA buttons);
- The date and time of consultation of the Magazine;
- The type of device used, where applicable.
For improving content and services:
- Aggregated and anonymized statistics relating to the Magazine’s audience;
- Data relating to use of the Channel.
For securing, administering and ensuring the proper operation of the Magazine and the Channel:
- Your IP address;
- Connection and usage data relating to the Channel;
- Data communicated to our teams when you contact us.
For managing requests relating to GDPR rights:
- Data relating to your identity: title, surname, first name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth;
- Where applicable, a copy of an identity document;
- Data relating to your request to exercise rights.
The details provided above are not intended to be exhaustive and are primarily intended to inform You about the categories of Data that MR AND MRS MEDIA may process.
Within the limits of their respective responsibilities and for the purposes recalled in ARTICLE 4 of the Policy, the main persons likely to have access to your Data are the following:
- Authorized staff of MR AND MRS MEDIA;
- Authorized staff of our technical processors involved in distributing the Magazine via the Channel;
- Competent supervisory authorities, including the CNIL;
- Where applicable, the relevant courts, mediators, statutory auditors, lawyers and bailiffs.
Your Personal Data is not disclosed, exchanged, sold or rented to any person other than those mentioned above without your prior express consent, in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions.
MR AND MRS MEDIA may disclose Personal Data to any third party where there is a legal obligation to do so or where MR AND MRS MEDIA considers in good faith that this is necessary to:
- Respond to any claim made against it;
- Comply with judicial and/or administrative requirements;
- Enforce any contract to which the Data Subject is a party;
- Safeguard the vital interests of any natural person;
- Perform a task carried out in the public interest.
As a rule, we process Your Personal Data within the European Union.
However, given the nature of our activity, we may transfer your Personal Data outside the European Union.
In such a case, these transfers are accompanied by appropriate safeguards in accordance with the regulations. You may request access to the documents providing appropriate contractual safeguards by submitting a request to our services.
We retain Your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes pursued, as summarized in the table below:

If a copy of an identity document is communicated, it may be retained for one (1) year after receipt of the request.
In accordance with the LIL and the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time (Article 7 of the GDPR);
- Right of access (Article 15 of the GDPR);
- Right to rectification, updating and completion of your Personal Data (Article 16 of the GDPR);
- Right to erasure of Your Personal Data where it is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated, or where its collection, use, disclosure or retention is prohibited (Article 17 GDPR);
- Right to restriction of processing of your Data (Article 18 of the GDPR);
- Right to object to the processing of your Data (Article 21 of the GDPR);
- Right to portability of the Personal Data you have provided to us, where it is subject to automated processing based on Your consent or on a contract (Article 20 GDPR);
- Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (Article 22 of the GDPR); no such decision-making is applied by MR AND MRS MEDIA;
- Right to define what happens to your Personal Data after your death and to choose that MR AND MRS MEDIA communicates Your Personal Data to a third party you have previously designated (Article 85 LIL).

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authorities, in particular the CNIL.
MR AND MRS MEDIA takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the Processing carried out and to protect Your Personal Data against destruction, loss, alteration, misuse and unauthorized access.
To this end, the following measures are implemented, without limitation:
- Encryption of data when transmitted via WhatsApp and when stored;
- Restriction of access to Personal Data to authorized staff only of MR AND MRS MEDIA and its processors;
- Security protocols on the IT systems used to distribute the Magazine via the Channel;
- Regular data backups to prevent any loss;
- Regular updating of the IT systems and software used by MR AND MRS MEDIA;
- Staff awareness of best practices in personal data protection.
In the event of a personal data breach likely to create a risk to your rights and freedoms, MR AND MRS MEDIA undertakes to notify the breach to the CNIL under the conditions provided for by the GDPR and, where applicable, to inform you directly via the Channel.
